Astronomers found liquid methane lake at titan

  • The depth of this lake is one hundred meters

  • There are also some in-ground surface lakes

  • Statistics from the Cassini expedition

  • Whether it rains need to be proved

New Delhi: Astronomers of NASA have continued their research on Saturn and its moon.

The Moon in the outer part of this planet had already been identified.

Now on one of these moons, there is a methane deep lake.

Being a methane in the liquid state is also a big deal in itself.

There is something like this in the atmosphere, due to which this methane is in the liquid state.

The initial assessment of this lake is that its depth is about one hundred meters.

Scientists are also pleased with this achievement because only two places have been found in the entire solar system where the fluid is present.

One of these is our earth, where water is present, which is the basis of life here.

Apart from this, it is Saturn’s moon, where it is now known to be methane.

This moon of Saturn is called Titan.

Space craft Cassini’s expedition sent by NASA ended in 2017 itself.

During the expiration of this campaign, this vehicle was forcibly pushed into the Saturn area.

The data provided by this space craft during this time is now being used in the research of scientists.

There are also other hydrocarbons in addition to methane in such liquid lake.

Remember that due to these hydro carbons, there are petrol and other natural fuels on earth.

Which are actually prepared after a long time with the chemical reaction of hydrogen and carbon.

The information about the lake in which the scientists got information about the lake of Saturn is showing that the stones of nearby areas have also been absorbed in this lake after melting.

In fact, there is a process of breaking down the separate clay and stones of the lake in the same way on the earth.

Apart from this, many such areas have been found there, which are very low-lying lake.

They have only a few inches deep, they often dry up or the liquid present in them gets dried up or vapourise.

By the way, this season of Saturn changes the weather once in seven years.

With this, now slowly it is getting more information about the formation and conduct of Saturn’s moon.

Because of this situation, astronomers are now trying to understand whether hydrocarbons, like this, also evaporate in the same way and later they come down as rain.

Through this, they is trying to understand its relationship with the earth’s water cycle.

Earlier, NASA’s Parker Solar Prob han confirmed about plasma rays run in sun.

Researchers on this moon have said that it is about 3200 miles in diameter in size.

In that sense it is the second largest moon of the entire solar system.

From this, the big moon has been identified as the master planet ie Jupiter’s moon.

In size it is larger than Mars.
