Congress men waiting to hear priyanka as candidate for varanasi

Lucknow: Congress party workers are in anxiety.

This is rising due to the speculation that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra may contest the loksabha election from varanasy.

If Mrs Vadra decided to contest the election, then She will face Prime Minister Narendra Modi,

who defeated Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal by a huge margin of 3,37,000 votes in the 2014 elections while Congress candidate Ajay Rai got 75,614 votes.

Priyanka had campaigned for Ajay Rai in that election.

With the speculation of Congress General Secretary contesting the elections, her nearest legislative council member Deepak Singh has said that Mrs Vadra is keen to contest the elections against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is now awaiting the approval of party president Rahul Gandhi.

Shri Singh said on Saturday that Mrs. Vadra, in-charge of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, has almost decided to contest from Varanasi.

She herself has expressed her desire to fight the election. Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s decision on this issue is pending.

Party workers from Amethi and Varanasi will be campaigning in the election campaign.

During the discussion of Priyanka’s fight against Varanasi,

Shri Ajay Rai said that if Priyanka is contesting from Varanasi, she will get enough support from the local party unit.

The party workers are already ready for this and is waiting for the Congress high command’s decision only.
