NDA leaders congratulate PM, flay violence in Bengal

New Delhi : leaders on Tuesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the clear majority predicted by several exit polls and said the ruling alliance now fulfills the dreams and aspirations of the people.

‘NDA fulfills the dreams and aspirations of the people and has stood firm on the issue of national security, it has been successful in leaving its mark,’ said Union Minister Rajnath Singh while briefing the reporters after the dinner meeting attended by the Prime Minister, BJP president Amit Shah and top NDA leaders including Uddhav Thackeray, Nitish Kumar and Parkash Singh Badal.

‘In the meeting Prime Minister gave a call for drastic change in national polity and it’s narrative aid that the poor was the only caste in India,’ said Mr Singh said. The leaders flayed the violence which took place in West Bengal during elections, he said.

A resolution was adopted on the occasion and it was moved by Mr Paswan and supported by all NDA leaders. ‘2019 general elections were Tsunami in favour of the NDA,’ said LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan. Mr Modi and Mr Shah held the crucial meeting with top NDA constituent leaders to chalk out strategy on possible outcome of the general elections.

The Prime Minister was felicitated by Mr Shah and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Among others Akali Dal leader and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal was also present. Earlier in the day, Mr Shah also held meeting with the Union Council of Ministers to ‘thank them’ for their service to the nation during last five years.
