Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Siachen

Srinagar: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will arrive here Monday to take stock of security

situation in Jammu Kashmir’s Kashmir Valley and Siachen Glacier

and the world’s highest battlefield in Ladakh.

This is the first official visit of Mr. Singh after taking charge of the Ministry of Defense.

According to sources, Army Chief Bipin Rawat will also be present with him,

who will inform him about the security situation in the Kashmir Valley by

reaching the 15 Corps Badami Bagh headquarters in Srinagar.

Mr. Singh will also be informed about the situation near the Line of Control

and the steps being taken to stop infiltration from Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

They will be given detailed information about more than 100 militants killed in the

encounter with the terrorists in the valley recently and in the last five months

in the encounter with security forces and terrorists.

It is worth mentioning that more than 100 militants have been killed, including

top commanders of terrorists this year in the Valley and 50 army personnel martyred.

After this, the Defense Minister will go to Siacin from where he will interact

with the troops deployed in the extreme circumstances, after which he will return to Delhi.

DEFENCE MINISTER RAJNATH SINGH’S FIRST VISIT

This is his first visit to the Defense Ministry after his first visit.

In the previous government, he had the charge of the Home Ministry.

The army is fully alert about the visit of Siachen to the Defense Minister and the

Chief of the Army chief simultaneously.

Typically this type of joint tour is very less.

This visit between India’s impoverished relations with Pakistan may possibly be a part

of the review of strategic preparations besides taking stock of the preparations for security.

Remember that during the fall of the snow, taking advantage of the slack of Indian security,

the Pakistani army sat down on the hills of Kargil.

Later, after the fierce battle, pakisthan could be removed.

Pakistan had refused to acknowledge the Pakistani soldiers killed in that war.
