Voting for 13 assembly seats of the first phase today

  • 37 lakh voters will decide the fate of 189 candidates
  • Maximum voters listed at Bhavnathpur seat
  • First generation voters above one lakh
  • Many areas are Naxal affected

Ranchi: Voting for the 13 assembly seats will take place on saturday.
A total of 189 people are contesting in thsi first phase of jharkhand
assemble election. In this first round of voting, 37 lakh 83 thousand 55
voters will use their votes in 13 assembly constituencies. Women’s
participation will be important in this.

Because they are about half of the voters. The number of women
voters in this phase is 18 lakh one thousand 356. Third gender has
only 05 voters.

These 13 seats in this phase include Chatra, Gumla, Bishunpur,
Lohardaga, Manika, Latehar, Panki, Daltonganj, Vishrampur,
Chhatarpur, Hussainabad, Garhwa and Bhawanathpur.

The number of first time voters in the first phase elections is one lakh
5 thousand 822. There are 57 thousand 687 males and 48 thousand 135

At the same time, the number of new voters in Garhwa is the highest
among 13 Vis seats. Here 17014 new voters will use their vote.
This includes males 9834 and females 7180.

There is a lot of enthusiasm among the voters of this generation for the
first time.

A total of 189 candidates are in the fray in these 13 seats. The
maximum number of 28 candidates are in Bhawanathpur seat, while in
Chatra only 9 candidates are contesting the election. A total of 37 lakh
83 thousand 55 voters will use their voting in the first phase.

Voting at lohardagga is battle of two giants

Two state Congress presidents will be face to face in the first phase
The Lohardaga seat can be considered important in this first phase of
voting. This is because the two state presidents of Congress are
contesting from here. Former Pradesh Congress President Sukhdev
Bhagat is in the fray against congress President Dr Rameshwar Oraon.

Apart from these two, Neeru is Shanti Bhagat, wife of former Ajsu
MLA Kamal Kishore Bhagat, on Ajsu’s ticket in this ground.

Some similar situation is also of Latehar. There, Prakash Ram, who
went to BJP from Jhavimo against former BJP MLA Baijnath Ram,

is in the ground. Similarly, the seat of Bhavnathpur is also considered
politically important because former BJP MLA Anant Pratap Dev is in
the fray against Bhanu Pratap Shahi, who recently joined the party.

The fate of state Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi is also to
be decided at this stage. They are in the fray from the Vishrampur seat.

Radhakrishna Kishore, former chief whip of the BJP, who is contesting
from Chhattarpur constituency, is fighting the AJSU. Pushpa Devi of
BJP is contesting in front of him.

The outgoing MLA Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta, who joined the
AJSU after leaving the BSP in Hussainabad, is contesting against
Independent Independent Vinod Singh. Vinod has the support of the

Many areas of the first phase are sensitive to Naxal violence
In view of the first phase of elections, liquor shops will remain closed
in Chatra, Gumla, Lohardaga, Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa districts
from 3 pm on November 28 till the end of the evening of November

Chief Electoral Officer Vinay Kumar Choubey has issued this
directive. He said that in the first phase of assembly elections on
November 30, Chatra, Gumla, Bishunpur, Lohardaga, Manika,
Latehar, Panchi, Daltonganj, Vishrampur, Chhatarpur, Hussainabad,
falling under Chatra, Gumla, Lohardaga, Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa

Polling is to be held for Garhwa and Bhavnathpur seats.
Bhavnathpur has the highest number of voters in 13 seats. There are
378004 voters in this election. It has 176012 females and male voters
201992. The second number is Chatra. The total voters here are
3,72,433. The number of females is 1,77,341 and the number of male
voters is 1,95,090.
