Matric fail quack was treating patients in his illegal clinic

Kuru: Matric fail quack doctor was trying to run away when he suspected raid.

He run away with his alto car from his own clinic. Police party present there

chased him. After a chase of about ten kilo meters he was nabbed at last. He was

running a poly clinic named Seva Sadan at Udumudu Baridih village for last one

year. This village is situated at Kuru block of Lohardagga district of Jharkhand.

District administration was getting complaint about this and death of many

patients treated over there. Sub Divisional officer Mr. Arvind Kumar Lal directed

officials to check this. A team of officers and drug inspector was sent there. This

team had executive magistrate Piyush, Dr. Shalini Minz, Drug inspector Amit

kumar, Block development officer Manoranjan and Circle officer Praveen kumar

singh. Team included local health center doctors with them before the raid. The

team reached there and before they can act the quack run away after locking his

clinic from outside. Police team chased and finally nabbed him. Officers gave

him a slip of medicine, which he could not read correctly.

Later on investigation he accepted that actually he is a matric fail student, who is

running this clinic. His clinic was sealed by administration. While doing this, the

official team found that four patient were treated there. During search they also

found oxygen cylinder inside clinic. Huge quantity of medicines was also

recovered from there. Four patients including one woman were sent to nearest

government health center by ambulance. Local person complained about many

deaths who took treatment from him. The government team also found Pratima

Kerketta and Amrita Bhagat working there as nurse. They knew nothing about

this quack’s qualification. They were working there for few months. Now the

government has lodged an FIR against this matric fail quack doctor and sent him

to judicial custody.
